Lost in the Vast Blue
The ocean is more than just a peaceful place for me - it's a sanctuary where I find solace from life's chaotic noise. It's where I go when I need to escape the world and find my inner calm. I yearn for it in ways I can't explain, and being by the ocean helps me feel more alive than anything else in the world.
It's there that I've learned some of life's most beautiful lessons, like the importance of cherishing every second we have, for time is not a friend. I've learned to be kind to myself, to follow my heart, and to push through, even when my mind and body are exhausted.
The ocean inspires me to create, and when I do, I feel like I'm reflecting on a part of myself. It's a place where I can be vulnerable, where I can express myself without judgment, and where I can be both calm and excited, just like the ocean's ever-changing waves.
I owe so much to those who have helped me along the way, especially you Sir @nicholas.t3o, who has been a mentor and a guiding light. Even in a sea of brilliant artists, you chose to believe in me, and for that, I am eternally grateful.
To Ms. @ahondiwa and the AU team, thank you for accommodating my last-minute request. Your support and hard work in showcasing my solo exhibition have not gone unnoticed, and I am grateful for your dedication.
I dedicate this to my loved ones, especially Mama Nelda, Papa, Micole, and Raymond. Without your love and support, I would not be where I am today. You've been with me through thick and thin, and I am forever grateful for everything you've done for me. The ocean may be my sanctuary, but you are my rock, and I could not have done this without you.
